English 3, Post 8 (FINAL), 'Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying'

The subject that I liked the most was cell physiology, more specifically it is the study of the activities of the cell and how they are related to the functioning of the body. I think I enjoy it because of a slight feeling of masochism, the truth is not going as well as I would like in the subject, however it has helped me a lot to understand the human body in a broader way, I feel that it escapes from the knowledge that one receives in the school. I have learned, for example, how a neuron performs synaptic work or how the action potential is performed in the cell, it may sound boring but I find it interesting. Before studying it I thought it was a very complex subject, today I believe the same, however I am excited to study it, so I am doing my part to understand it and be able to perform well in Systems Physiology. Thank you very much for the course Professor Rene! Greetings, and I hope to see you next semester!

English 3, Post 7, 'Choice of Two Topics (Choose one of the two)

I choose to talk about Marie Curie! She is a fantastic woman, she is Polish nationalized as French, she was born in Warsaw, November 7, 1867 and died in Passy, July 4, 1934. She was married to a man who was her partner in her studies . She was the first woman to receive two Nobel Prizes! She made a great contribution to chemistry by conducting various studies on radioactivity. She fascinates me with her life, I feel that she is an icon and a woman whom I value and respect very much. At the time it was despised in various ways, however, being such a great contribution, it was pioneering and was recognized in different ways, for example, she was the first female professor at the University of Paris, she took this job to pay a tribute to her late husband. and companion, since he wanted to create a research laboratory in his honor I think that despite the obstacles (since she, too, was discriminated against for xenophobia) she was able to assert herself and respect in a field that wa...

English 3, Post 6, 'How can your major make the world a better place'

I study chemistry and pharmacy, I believe that currently the contact that a pharmaceutical chemist has with the public is reduced, and it is a matter of how to share the knowledge that we acquire during the race to the people we serve. Currently I am working in a pharmacy as customer service, so from today I try to help patients to obtain better prices for medicines that they are obliged to take on a chronic basis. In the future I see myself in a more independent way but with the same focus, which is that medicines are affordable for everyone, in this way to help in the expense that many families have to do month by month, and in that way to be able to do things more evenly in a country where it is very expensive to live. Also to be able to help people with the knowledge that they can acquire in the 5 years of university. bye!

English 3, Post 5, 'A photo and its story'

I like this photo, because it was the last time we were all together, in the photo is my family, along with my cousins. It was taken by one of my uncles, it has been very difficult to see us all again since we are from different cities. I really like that photo because I remember that it was a very good summer, I remember that we went to many beaches in Coquimbo, we also went to a place with white sand, we bought many things in the mall, we always waited for the holidays to buy clothes. My parents were very happy because we had never traveled so far to a place other than Bolivia before, I really miss those days when everything was simpler. Currently the people in the photo are older, it was taken more than 10 years ago, some of my cousins already have children, and we all follow different paths, but in any case we love each other very much, although there is little contact.
